Job Description

Field Senior Responsible Person Electrical Engineer
Job Description
- Ensuring that all electrical personnel are aware of and fully conversant with the company electrical safety rules and safe systems of work. • The ongoing coaching and assessment of Electrical technicians to attain increasing levels of responsibility (SAEP. AEP. CEP.) • Identifying the training requirements for the Electrical Technicians to achieve the required authorization levels. • Responsible for the Safe Isolation and de-isolation of all HV / LV electrical plant and switchgear. • Responsible for the development and review of Electrical Procedures • The scrutiny of all Electrical work permits, Isolation certificates, supplementary certificates and switching procedures. • Input to daily/weekly/monthly and TAR planning schedules for electrical systems. • Be fully aware of the business need and work towards reducing unplanned downtime. • Ensuring that all electrical and instrument personnel are trained and experienced in the installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment installed in hazardous areas. • Responsible for ensuring the preventive maintenance of electricals as per schedule. • Responsible for carrying out the trouble shooting of control systems, MCC, Feeders Systems etc.. • Responsible for monitoring the Electrical and control system performance and report abnormalities, provide solutions. • Attend HAZID & HAZOP on behalf of operations/maintenance team for electrical systems. • Act as focal point for electrical engineering requests from Muscat. - Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 10-12 years of experience in Oil & Gas. Previous experience as AEP or SAEP. Extra years of experience can substitute the qualification. • HV Power generation & distribution experience • COMPEX & Ex certified • Electrical switch gears, PMCC, Motors and all plant electrical Equipment’s. • DG electrical Control panels, breakers, Synchronization panels, etc. • LV,HV Motors, PMCC, Distribution Boards, • Monitoring the performance of Generators, Motors, including all other electrical equipment and report abnormalities before failures occur. • Diagnoses, (reports findings to Maintenance Supervisor) and rectifies faults on: • Electrical equipment and associated DG, Control gear, HT & LT switchgear including ancillary equipment. • Electrical problems in Plant and facilities. • High Voltage & Low Voltage Switchboards • VCB, ACB, protection systems, 6.6KV Motors. • VFD and Thyristor panels • LT: Transformers, MCC, PMCC, Emergency generators, motors, and protection systems. • Auxiliary systems: UPS, Battery chargers, Battery banks, Air-conditioning, building wiring, heat tracing, portable equipment, and grounding systems. • Transmission lines • Good Communication in English. • Ensuring all safety rules and safe work procedures are followed by themselves and by others working in and around the machinery. • Providing leadership and active participation in team safety meetings, discussions, and training opportunities. • Following all safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, PPE, etc. • Lead and/or participate in crew discussions (both within maintenance and with operations) prior to major events, e.g. down days, etc. emphasizing Job Hazard Analyses prior to commencing work • Providing support as needed to correct quality deficiencies. • Lead and/or participate with root cause analysis for operating problems including the identification of contributing causes for non-operating events and work to eliminate the root cause for continuous improvement.

Job Description
? In line with the business’ requirements, support the safe, effective operations of the operating assets and associated oil/gas processing plants including utilities ? Lead the Head Office Operations Support team and other assigned personnel, taking overall responsibility for their supervision, development, welfare and overall effectiveness. ? In conjunction with main office/site staff develop and deliver the sites operations philosophy, policies, SOPs, Operations management systems and Safety Management systems including process safety, to enable the achievement of required performance measures and statutory and management reporting and to ensure their effective communication, understanding and monitoring by all relevant employees. ? Ensure by prudent and careful review of budgets and production target’s that any costs per BBL (BOE) are as low as practicable. ? Ensure production plans for the assets under supervision are achievable and that stakeholders and customers are satisfied, any deviations are recorded and tracked as to why. ? Develop strategies for effective field and engineering support across all disciplines. ? Participate in facilities HAZOP/HAZID and in providing inputs to projects reliability and maintainability subjects. ? Participate and lead design reviews and risk assessments ? Identify requirements for plant modifications and improvements and manage through Management of Change process or equivalent. ? Ensure up to date engineering documentation, procedures and manuals are in place and maintained. ? Provide effective Operations support to the sites delivering both engineering and operations support for specific work streams and projects as required ? Provide appropriate guidance and support for all major Operations events including outages, plant shutdowns, unplanned and planned events and incidents. ? Review budget trends, cost reversals and be able to do projections and forecasting ? Skills Required
? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and or equivalent. ? 10-15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas processing plants with experience and knowledge of drilling, subsurface, well interventions, workovers and facilities engineering ? Experience and strong knowledge in artificial lift such as ESPs, PCP ? Hands-on experience with onshore/offshore wells and equipment associated with the process of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbons metering. ? Has ability to organize own work and meet strict deadlines. ? Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project. ? Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example. ? Experience managing and participating in multi-national work teams; good people skills.
