Moto Edge 40 Neo spotted on Geekbench, key specs revealed

Motorola launched the Edge 40 smartphone in India in May. It also launched a new ‘Viva Magenta’ colour variant for the Moto Edge 40 in June. Now it looks like the company is working on a ‘Neo’ model for this phone, which could be a more affordable version of the Moto Edge 40. We’ve spotted the Moto Edge 40 Neo on the benchmarking website, Geekbench.

• On Geekbench, the phone has been listed as the Motorola Edge 40 Neo.
• Here, the chipset hasn’t been specified but it’s an ARM v8 octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.50GHz, and the Mali-G610 MC3 GPU.
• Based on this information, it could be the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC.
• The Moto Edge 40 is also listed with 7.27GB of RAM which would be 8GB on paper.
• The smartphone is also running Android 13.
• It has a single core-score is 3,559, and the multi-core score is 8,508.

Moto Edge 40 Neo launch date, price (expected)

This isn’t the first we’re hearing about the Moto Edge 40 Neo. The smartphone was recently spotted on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) website hinting on its imminent launch. Its specifications, possible pricing and launch timeline were also leaked previously. The Moto Edge 40 Neo is expected to launch on September 15th, and it could be priced at €399 (Rs 36,300 approx).

• Display:Moto Edge 40 Neo is expected to feature a 6.55-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
• Processor:The smartphone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC.
• RAM and storage:It could be launched with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
• Cameras:The Moto Edge 40 Neo is expected to sport a dual-camera setup with 50MP and 13MP sensors, and a 32MP front camera.
• Battery, other features:It could house a 5,000mAh battery, and come with IP68 rating. The smartphone is also said to launch in a Black Beauty Shade colour.
