After the Motorola Edge 40 series, the company is now working on the successor, dubbed the Edge 50 lineup. The handset was earlier spotted on FCC, IMEI, and BIS certifications, which suggests it will debut in India at some point. Now, the phone has received the TDRA certification and this confirms the marketing name.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro TDRA certification

  • The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has received the UAE’s TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) certification with the model number XT2403-2.
  • This is a good indication to suggest the phone will debut in the UAE and other global markets.

As said, the phone was recently spotted on the FCC database, BIS, and IMEI websites. The former showed multiple models with model numbers: XT2403-1, XT2403-2, XT2403-4, and XT2403-5 model numbers. These could be multiple models in the Edge 50 series.

The FCC certification of the Edge 50 Pro bears the model number XT2403-2 and confirms there will be e-SIM support. The model number also appeared on the IMEI database, which reveals the Macan codename. The XT2403-1 model number was also spotted on the BIS certification alongside the XT2431-1, hinting that the launch of the phone could be nearing in India.

The handset might debut in the second quarter of 2024, according to a post on Weibo. There are chances the phone might debut with the Motorola X50 moniker in China.
