POCO C51 India launch date accidentally revealed via now-deleted microsite

 After launching the POCO C55 last month, Xiaomi-backed smartphone brand POCO is likely gearing up to unveil the POCO C51 in India on April 7th. This was confirmed via a micro-site, which has since been taken down, that the upcoming smartphone would be available for purchase in India through the e-commerce platform Flipkart. In addition, the teaser page provided confirmation of the smartphone’s most important technical specifications. 

POCO C51 launch in India 

The Flipkart graphic suggested that the debut of the POCO C51 in India would take place on April 7 at 12 noon. However, as of now, neither POCO’s social media handles nor its website includes any confirmation on the launch. 

POCO C51 price in India, specifications 

According to a report by MSP, the upcoming POCO C51 will be an affordable smartphone, and it will be priced between Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 in the country. 

As far as the specifications are concerned, it is confirmed that the POCO C51 will offer a 6.52-inch HD+ display, an 8MP primary camera, a 5,000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, as per the deleted listing. The upcoming smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC paired with up to 7GB RAM (4GB LPDDR4X RAM+3GB virtual RAM) and 32GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 13 (Go Edition). 

The upcoming POCO smartphone appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A2+ that was launched a month ago. However, there is no official confirmation about the same, and we will have to wait until the phone gets launched.
