iQOO 12 India launch is scheduled for December 12th and, ahead of that, the company has revealed some key details about the upcoming phone, including its OS updates and more. The smartphone is confirmed to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in India. It is worth noting that iQOO 12 has already been launched in China alongside the iQOO 12 Pro.

The iQOO 12 bloatware, OS update details

• iQOO has confirmed that it will remove bloatware with the new Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14.
• iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya has confirmed that the phone will not have pre-installed applications, including the ‘Hot Apps’ and ‘Hot Games’ folders.
• iQOO 12 is guaranteed to receive three years of Android software updates and four years of security patches.
• The latest flagship from Vivo’s sister brand will be India’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone, and also the first non-Pixel device with Android 14.
